A bit about me….

My name is Rachel Hatton and I am a Parent Governor. I have been part of the Glenthorne community since 2015 when my eldest son started nursery. He has since moved up to high school but my youngest son still attends and is in Year 4. I have worked in education since 2007 as a class teacher across KS1 and 2 in various schools in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Staffordshire. My current role is as SENCO in a KS3/4 alternative provision. I have always had a passion for education and ensuring that all children are given the best opportunities to excel regardless of their background or additional needs. My role as SEND Governor at Glenthorne allows me to work closely with Miss Langston to ensure that children with SEND at Glenthorne get the best opportunities possible.
