Glenthorne Goals

At Glenthorne, we strive to ensure that children have a broad and balanced curriculum which inspires them in as many ways as possible. We also believe that children should be able to have a range of experiences (both in and outside of school) and have many opportunities for 'awe and wonder'. Therefore, we have created a list of 'Glenthorne Goals' which each child will be able to achieve as they move through school. Our ambition is that not only will these experiences deepen their understanding of the world, they will also help expand their vocabulary and widen their knowledge. Furthermore, participating and achieving their 'goals' will allow them to practise our core skills of being independent, collaborating with others, being tolerant and respectful, developing their resilience and have high expectations of themselves and others. 

A broad and balanced curriculum provides children with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to develop into well-rounded, informed individuals.
