The PTFA are a group of volunteers hosting a variety of events for pupils and their families. The aim of the PTFA is to raise money to enhance children's experiences at school, educationally and socially.
Recent purchases have included playground markings, astroturf, word pads and calculators. We also pay annually for a theatre company to come into school and perform a pantomime for all of the children. Year 6 receive a leavers autograph book from the PTFA as a memento of their time at Glenthorne.
Our main events include Summer and Christmas Fayres, discos, film nights and competitions for the children. Last year we ran our first ever Mothers and Fathers day pop up shops, the children loved choosing gifts with their pocket money. The pop up shops will be returning again this year!
Our next event will be the Valentines disco on Friday 9th February 2018.
The next PTFA meeting will be on Tuesday 27th February 2018, 7.30pm at the Mary Rose. You are welcome to join us there.
We would like to thank everyone for the continued support.
