This week, we helped to raise lots of money for Comic Relief; dressing in red clothes and holding a 30 minute Danceathon!! We then tucked into some tasty treats at snack time and made red nose biscuits. We even had a special visit from PCSO Karen Terry who was very impressed with our 'Baby Shark' dance. The children managed to raise £76.40!! Well done everyone!
We have been learning all about Julia Donaldson. So far we have looked at 'The Stick Man' and the 'The Gruffalo' and have had fun creating our own stick men and painting gruffalo masks. We have also been busy making chocolate fridge cakes and trying lots of tasty treats at snack time. Our favourite song to finish the session with is Baby Shark!
We have been really busy this term, learning 'All About Me!'
We have made hand and foot prints and discovered fun things we can use our hands and feet for. We have made play doh faces, painted self portraits, made mirrors and used our senses to discover what we do and don't like! We've also been trying some tasty treats at snack time; toast, cereals and different fruits.
During singing time, we sing our new favourite song 'Baby Shark' and our old favourites; 'Dingle, Dangle Scarecrow' and 'Sleeping Bunnies'.
We have been helping the Queen celebrate her birthday; making crowns, union jack flags and having a lovely tea party! We have also had lots of fun doing a 'Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Jump', splashing in lots of puddles and making mud pies in our mud kitchen.
We have been having lots of fun with our friends; making Easter bunny hats and decorating cardboard Easter eggs with lots of sparkles and making chocolate Rice Krispie cakes, which were so yummy we couldn't resist tasting them! We also tried hot cross buns at snack time. We took part in a hunt for the Easter bunny's footprints and were rewarded at the end with an Easter egg each!
We have been finding out about all things 'Under the Sea', taking part in many activities; making paper plate jelly fish, shiny silver fish, our very own glittery aquarium and singing our favourite songs! At snack time, we made octopuses and fish using pancakes, bananas, raisins and cheerios.
